Solar Impulse, A Plane based on Solar Energy Completed its journey of going all the way around the world. Finally, It has reached Abu Dhabi after its travel. The Final leg of its travel is completed by Betrand piccard. Its journey's final leg was completed from Cairo , Capital of Egypt and finally reached Abu Dhabi. Impulse was piloted by Betrand piccard along with Andrew Borseburg. The main aim of this journey is to spread out the importance of renewable energy sources. It started its journey on 9th of March 2016.
Solar Impulse had totally 17 stages in its travel. It traveled over 4 continents, 2 Oceans. It totally covered a total distances of 8924 KMs from nayoga, Japan to Hawaii. This is also a record travel with in this distances. Solar Impulse is also lighter than a car, which consists of 17000 solar cells. The power generated from these cells was used as energy for its travel.
Betrand piccard after completed the journey stated that," We were facing the oceans.. we had to build up this mindset, not just the plane and technology"
