Acquisitions by Companies-The Trend that is being followed in the World

Till date the world has witnessed many acquisitions.. Some of them where fruitful and some of them where bitter, but because of these the world has and will be changing a lot.. Before the advent of software industry and the importance of information in every field, everything was confined to itself but things got dramatically changed then. It totally changed the perspective of every industry and from then people mostly business people understood the inter-relation between the industries. So, from then the term 'acquisition' started gaining its importance in every field.

Here is the list of some of the acquisitions in based on Companies:


  • Acquisitions by Google

    • Android  for $50 millions in the year 2005
    • YouTube for $1.65 Billions in the year 2006
    • AdMob for $7.5 millions in the year 2009
    • Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billions in the year 2011
    • Boston Dynamics in the year 2013
                Till date google has acquired nearly 190 companies and evolved itself into one of the largest companies in the world.
              Recently it has become a part of Alphabet.

  • Acquisitions by Microsoft
    • Hotmail for $500,000,000 in the year 1997
    • Skype for $8.5 billions in the year 2011
    • Nokia for $7,200,000,000 in the year 2013
    • LinkedIn for $26,200,000,000 in the year 2016
    • Solair in the year 2016
                
                Till date Microsoft has acquired nearly 190 companies.

    • Oculus VR for $2,000,000,000 in the year 2014
    • WhatsApp for $19,000,000,000 in the year 2014
    • Instagram for $1,000,000,000 in the year 2012
    • Snaptu for $70,000,000 in the year 2011
               Till date Facebook has acquired nearly 55 companies.


              Any many more companies have had acquisitions and some became a part of acquisitions. What ever that happened may be,, everything that happened and that is happening shows that these have become some of the major business ideas which kept the witness the new heights in the technology journey.
